Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, also called hard carbon coating, is one of the toughest optical coatings and widely used for outdoor applications under various climatic conditions. DLC coating is applied on external surfaces to enhance durability and provide extreme environmental resistance such as abrasion, acids, alkalis, chemical solvents and salt water, and also has excellent transmission in the infrared range. We offer DLC coatings on germanium and silicon substrates.
